This is a memorial museum which tells Tsunami disaster happened here, by using a ripple of water.
I tried to realize the phenomena of “water” as a message to many people
Earthquakes, which cause Tsunami, are to shake ground by movements of the earth’s crust or the mantles, and their elastic wave.
I tried to express “water”, a fluid in the nature as a movements of earth.
To create the place which people don’t forget, I thought that the actions people make cause the phenomena in the surface of the water, and they become the media of new communication.
They change gradually by the wind, the moire in the bottom of the water, and the actions of people.
They cause a sense of primitive, and make the place unforgettable.
Therefore this is the innovative museum using water.
