an architecture towards environment
In history, nature makes human beings, and human beings make a city.
This current gives us the place for expression, called “an architecture”.
In the past, it was developed by “a progress” which a mode or new materials make possible.
Now, however, entering 21century, it hasn’t needed more progresses, and I think it is the time to take a new turn.
This change appeared not only the field of architecture, but also that of many, but there are still many problems against environment.
I firmly believe the approach we’ve never seen by means of architecture can be a breakthrough.
Through my designing work for the past 10 years, I think urban space needs to be more related to the nature as the origin.
What I want to realize is the architecture as a point between environment and human beings.
Each environment changes its identity, and it makes the new space which corresponds to the site.
“Space Lab, the University of Tokyo” is an example of this.
It uses sustainable resources in materials, and also pays attention to environment in structure.
In this way, I hope my works make environment improved, and I want to continue to pursue new technology to keep environment preserved.
What I want to pursue is a space which is related to the social matters, and also prominent
from the society.
I believe my adoration towards “a genuine space by an architecture” make it possible.
